It’s not COVID, honest!

Standing in line this morning, waiting to get into the grocery store, I coughed.

I glanced around, self-conscious, to see if anyone was giving me that judgmental “you should be self-isolating” look. But the lady ahead of me just smiled. “Allergies?” she asked.

This is my car after standing idle in the driveway for a day and a half.

Why, I wonder, would she think anyone would be suffering from allergies right now?

I gather pollination is not good this year ... and your car proves it - take care and all the best - Hilary

We finished with the yellow stuff two weeks ago, but new stuff is blooming, so while not a mess, the pollen is high.

Hilary, the pollen is bad this year for sure!

Alex, I don't think I've ever seen our cars get so bad so quickly.

I did the same in a store early on, coughed, and felt terrible about scaring people, but no one seemed to notice. I came to visit here because I loved your recent comment on Hilary's blog - the "aromatic story" one. We need to keep our sense of humor during these difficult times.

Inger, a sense of humor is definitely needed these days.
