A to Z ahead

Blogging is languishing. I'm still visiting but not commenting as much as usual.

No, I haven't joined a cult, or been abducted by aliens, or been revealed as a long-lost member of the British royal family and forced to flee from marauding paparazzi, or anything like that.

My energy is being spent on work (very intense at the moment), family (teen and pre-teen dramas), writing (still making good progress), and critiquing for a fellow writer.

And I'm thinking about this year's A to Z.

After last year, I said "never again" because it took up so much time. It was fun, but all-consuming. If I do it again, I will need to be exceptionally well-organized much further ahead of time. And, yes, it was fun, wasn't it?

No! Resist!

Then I got an idea for a theme, which I won't reveal just yet, but which I'm fleshing out to see if it will fly.

Ah, heck, looks like I'm getting suckered in again ...

A to Z details and sign up here starting on Wednesday.

I said I wasn't going to do it last year and I did...this year I'm sticking to my guns...no no no no.

Hi Ian,

Ah yes, that amazing challenge that brings further awareness of the alphabet. All the best joining those folks in such a fun event. Of course, I've been named by the guy who started it as "The official anti-A to Z Challenge spokesman."

Still, another opportunity to do my good natured satire postings on it. Have a good Sunday, eh.

Gary

Comments on other blogs is what helps spread one's blog. I found that to be true during lasy year's A to Z.

Good luck if you do take it on. Almost tried it last year but it just isn't my thing to post.
I do however enjoy reading how others tackle the challenge

Hi Ian .. glad you've got a theme and will almost certainly join in. I'm themed up and 'rarin' to go .. and I do enjoy it - somewhat frenetic though!

Good luck with your writing, work overload and the teen - family issues that beset many .. Hilary

I definitely understand about being too busy to blog! But you're a better man than me for tackling A to Z. I'll never, ever be so brave. :) Good luck!

Awww, go on, Delores, *whispers* you know you want to :)

Gary, looking forward to seeing how much fun you can poke at it this year ;)

Jeremy, visiting and commenting are what it's all about. That took waaay more time and energy than the posts themselves.

Mynx, it's fun to see how others have chosen to tackle it, indeed.

Hilary, well you are organized. It's still only January. Looking forward to seeing what you have in mind.

David, sounds rather similar to how I feel about NaNo :)

Oh, what's the theme, what's the theme!? I can hardly wait. And before I forget, that is great artwork up there. How is the book coming?

I haven't actually committed to it (A to Z) by signing up yet. But, even though I said I'd never do it again due to, like you, time constraints, I start to think about the fantastic people I met through it--and you are one of them.

I'll prolly do it if WeWriWa is running smooth by then. :-)

It sure was nice to see your face in the comments on my blog, Ian.

And regards your comment, I'm gently nudging, telling, reminding people about the reciprocity. :-)

Teresa, not revealing the theme just yet. Let's just say, it's nothing to do with writing :)

Yes, it's a big time commitment. Never mind the posts, it's all the visiting and commenting that took the time. It's the thought of all the new folks to meet that convinced me.

Good luck with WWW. I hope it takes off. I might even give it a whirl myself.
