Because the Canucks lost? Not really. A home win would have been nice, but Boston proved they could win away as well as on home ice, and for that they have my respect.
No. I retired sad and angry because of the scenes afterwards. This is not the British Columbia my family and I chose as our home.
Children! Please!
It's a game.

I honestly don't understand why anyone gets so bent out of shape over a game. I'm not a sports fan, but that's just so stupid to me. I wouldn't set fire to things over losing at checkers. Why do it over hockey?
The game gives people an excuse to behave as they truly are. Much like other riots that appear. People get into a mob and personal responsibility goes away.

I'm used to scenes like that - here, every football match means there's a fight going to happen (and chairs fly between fans). But we must learn to live with it and ignore them (and keep away, as not to get hit with flying chair :p)
It's crazy! I couldn't believe this would happen in Vancouver of all places. But I guess losing to the Americans can bring out the worse in anybody -- especially where hockey is involved.
Personally, I wanted the Canucks to win. But, oh well . . .

Totally agree with you. Those scenes were not a true reflection on the Vancouver I know and love.
The better team won and in the true spirit of sport, I congratulate the winners and realise there is always next season and another chance.

I'm extremely disappointed by what happened in Vancouver. So not cool. So not classy. So not Canadian. I'm embarrassed, truth be told.

Mysti, Andrew, David, I honestly don't think it had anything to do with the sport or the outcome. It seems there was a hard core of troublemakers out for a fight no matter what.
Stefani, I came from the UK, and rioting football hooligans were just part of the scenery. We thought we'd left all that behind :(
