Progress

After a furious burst of activity in February, Tiamat's Nest has finished its latest round of revisions and is now out to beta-readers.

No time for relaxing, though. I need to start work on ideas and drafts for cover art if I'm to get this puppy out there this summer as planned.

I've also been pottering around with iDraw. There's lots of capability there, and lots of things are very easy to accomplish that I'd have a harder time managing in Visio, but the software still shows some baffling and frustrating behavior even doing the simplest tasks. I clearly still have a lot to learn.

  1. So THAT'S what a Hoklok looks like....every bit as nasty as I imagined.

  2. LOL! Delores, I'm guessing one of my old posts popped up on the random "You might also like" widget. Chances are folks reading this won't be seeing the same thing you saw, so here's a link to the post in question: H is for Hokloks

    1. In case you don't see my comment on the original post it read:

Falcons on steroids; I love the description.

  8. Congrats Ian for getting to this stage. I'm sure the cover art will turn out amazing. It's fun playing with those illustration programs isn't it? Hope it's all good news from the betas.

  9. Yay for getting your book out to betas. It's great that you are so artistic and do all the work to publish your novels so that when the book is out doing its thing, you can be working on the cover or whatever. A little variety is always good.

  10. Denise, the cover art is proving a bit shy. I've had an idea in mind for ages but it's harder to put down on paper than I expected. Well, will keep at it...

Shell, I do enjoy the variety, and the control. Most of the time with trad pub the writer has very little say in many aspects of the final product.
